the “Woman of the House” of Chez Calasanz and the writer of this blog, Disciplined Indulgence.

The "Disciplined Indulgence" blog is the place where I'm happy to share my adventures in: health and fitness; my return to college after over 20 years; cooking delicious and nutritious meals; home improvement, and gardening; along with other stories, pictures, and posts about what I do to continue living a happy, healthy, and balanced life.
My greatest passion, outside of being an amazing personal trainer, is cooking healthy, balanced, and delicious meals for my husband and myself.
I love to share this passion with others and to prove that it doesn’t take much time or money to eat healthy and delicious meals.
You will not find formal recipes here. 99% of the treats you'll see here start as an adventure. I become inspired by what's in my garden, fruit bowls, vegetable drawers, shelves, and treats from the sea. I sniff, touch, and taste till I am satisfied. I encourage you to do the same.
I welcome you to connect with me, Controlled Burn Fitness, Chez Calasanz, and Pedal Precision Indoor Cycling Classes for more adventures in all things delicious in the world of food, home, health, and fitness.
You can also find me on twitter ChezCalasanz and CtrldBrnFitness
I would love to hear from you! Please feel free to leave posts, questions, or comments about anything you see. Please feel free to share the blog with your friends and family. All I ask is that you give credit if you post any of the pics, stories, or information you find here.
Thanks again for stopping by!
Enjoy!
